The 2019 GSA Annual Scientific Meeting will be held in Austin, Texas, from November 13 to 17, 2019, with the theme, “Strength in Age—Harnessing the Power of Networks,” selected by 2019 GSA President Dr. S. Michal Jazwinski, professor of medicine and professor of biochemistry at Tulane University and director of the Tulane Center for Aging. Various realms of human activity involve components, connections, and systems: economics; education; mathematical theories; tissues, cells, molecules; health care; families, races, religions, gender, wealth; human behavior; and societies. The 2019 GSA Annual Scientific theme seeks to answer questions such as: How will we harness social capital in the service of an aging population? How can we ameliorate cognitive decline? How do we combat decline and frailty at the cellular, physiologic, and patient levels?
