AME Center offers research assistant internships for current undergraduates, recent graduates, and PhD students. Individuals interested in learning more about health psychology, biopsychology, public health, clinical psychology and medicine may join our team for summer or longer term volunteer internships.
Working as a Research Assistant at the AME Center has given me the incredible opportunity to better understand the research process, learn directly from respected professionals in the field, and develop a diverse skillset for my own future career. Most importantly, my time here has given me the experience to improve the health of others with the support of an accomplished and passionate team
Research assistants gain valuable skills such as:
- Recruitment, Data collection, monitoring, and management
- Survey skills
- Basic understanding of research process by participating in meetings and study start up
- Working with a dynamic group of colleagues and being mentored by postdocs and faculty
