Do you want to learn mindfulness meditation? A study by The Aging, Metabolism and Emotion Lab at UCSF and EHPL lab tested the effects of 20 days of meditation on stress resilience. Here are the 7 free meditations to use at home in the event you or a loved one is feeling extra anxious due to the COVID-19 coronavirus.
The audios offer a guide to focus on breathing, calm your nervous system, and come back into the moment. Cultivating mindfulness can be helpful as we navigate the news and the newness of sheltering practice, allowing us to name the feelings and sensations that are happening in our mind and body. These practices may help to bring some ease and relaxation into an otherwise uncertain experience by focusing on the breath, emotion, the body, thoughts and cultivating a sense of kindness to self and others
